Subject: Re: How many miles is too many miles on a used Saab?

I bought an '85 900 3-door with 254,000 miles one month ago. It had a badly dented door which I popped out with a 2x4 ( I know it sounds bad, but it worked!). The door still has small dents in it, but the door opens and shuts solidly, locks, and I only paid $500 bucks for the whole thing. Cosmetically it could use some work, but mechanically, it's tight as a tick. What I'm trying to advise is that one shouldn't judge a vehicle merely on mileage, but on the mechanical soundness, vehicle records, test drives, etc.... If you have a bad feeling about a car, then your probably right. Comments? Minstrel
