Even though the car is at a Saab/Volvo repair shop, if you are serious about the car, it should be taken to a good independent Saab tech and checked out. Unless that shop is going to give you a at least a 90 day or 6 month warranty, I would not buy it unchecked. If they are not willing to give a warranty, then they might be interested in selling your car and to turn around and charge you to fix it. They are in business to make money.
