These are the facts for the real BMW M3 as sold in Europe (AFAIK in the US you get a rebadged 328) Power - 321 BHP at 7,400 rpm Torque - 350 Nm (roughly 260 lb/ft) at 3,250 rpm 0-60 = 5.5 secs 30-70 = 5 secs Max speed = 155 mph. The only true thing you have said is that the Viggen is possibly more versatile than the M3. In every other respect the M3 just blows the SAAB into the weeds. The only real competitors to the M3 are the Audi S4 and the Subaru/Mitsubishi imports (STI and EVO 5,6). These are cars with 280+ BHP and 400 Nm of torque.
