I was wondering, all those people talking about how shitty their Saab is, well sell it and get on with another car. I adore my Saab and in my family we had (almost) nothing but good experience with it. I paid 25000 belgian francs for my Saab and drove 22000 kms with it (app. 14000 miles). I am about to sell it now at my dealer's and I'm getting the same 25000 back. Hasn't it been an incredibly cheap car then ? If your Saab has been taken care of, it will last for ever, if you buy of course a trash car, too bad. Of course there were problems with some models (early 9000 CS(E) 1992), early 1994 900 (new model)), but if you are well informed you stay away from them.
