The oil supply to the tappets includes a lot of little plastic T pieces (in the head area somewhere) apparently, these are prone to deteriorating such that the oil can leak back down and so out of the hydraulic lifters, replacing just the plastic bits could solve the problem. Sorry to be vauge, I've not actually seen this bit, just know other saabs that have had this done. - Mark.
