Subject: Re: Interior rattles on my 99 9-3 HOT Turbo

Both my 96 900SE and 99 9-3 had a rear-seat area rattle. Turned out to be the head restraints. The plastic sleeves that they slip into on the rear-seat cross member (between the shock towers/speakers) were loose in their holes. I pushed them out from below, put some epxy on them and snapped them back in place. Also, a wrap of black electrical tape around the headrest rods makes them fit snuggly in their sleeves. All is quiet again. pg Erick Weber wrote in message <7a764g$>... >I just got a silver 9-3 SE HOT Turbo, and I absolutely love the car, except >for an annoying rattle that seems to come from the rear seat headrest area. >The fold down seat lock is securely in place, but neither I nor the dealer >can locate the noise, or alleviate it.
