Not 20 miles from my house is one of the largest specialized Saab dismantlers/recyclers on the planet, and they've got a warehouse full of Saab engines. The stack hasn't moved in the year or so I've been paying attention... Occasionally a 2.3l will go somewhere, but rarely if ever a 2.0l. I was talking to one of the guys over there and he told me they stopped taking the engines out the cars they get in because they can't sell the ones they already have... In my experience, it's usually everything else that fails, and not the engines. From time to time a head will warp or something like that, but never, ever the block. -Justin
