Those two items are the single most common cause for cruise control
failures.  Pull the cover off the false bulkhead on the passenger 
side (IIRC) and find the cruise control pump - you can't miss it -
it's weird looking.  Pull off the long vacuum hose, have someone sit
inside the car with their ears near the pedals.  Blow on your end
of the tube and listen for leaks...
