Subject: Re: 9-3 radio removal

If the radio is similiar to my (now sold) 95 900, you need a special U Shaped Tool (actually two of them - one for each side of the radio). Where did I get them? I forget, but I'm sure any of the high end car audio web sites will sell them as they're standard for removing DIN-type radios commonly found in European cars. Anyway, you insert each tool into two holes that are along either side of the radio. The ends of the tools, now inside the radio, catch on something and allow you to easily slide the radio out. The following site probably has a bunch more information, even if it is about the New Generation 900 primarily and not the 9-3. Good Luck. http://www.ultranet.com/~bevanrl/ -Jeff ThisIsnopsamagestopping.net wrote: > > Hi, > > I'm instlling the audio upgrade in my 9-3 and one of the > things I need to do is take the radio out so I can connect the DIN > cable between it and the amplifier.
