I don't buy it. I was not going to say anything, but I can't help myself. I don't see any way you're getting that kind of power out of the car, given your [limited] mods. My 1990 SPG has the following mods: Saab High Performance Distributor Custom APC Box running 14psi Magnecor Wires, Beru Plugs K&N Filter 3.0bar Fuel Pressure Regulator HKS Racing Bypass Custom Stainless Steel Intercooler Pipes My car makes 120hp and 230 lb ft at the wheels, on a Mustang full-chasses dynomometer. The operator of the shop tells me that stock E30 M3s usually turn about 120hp at the wheels on the same dyno, and they are rated at 190 flywheel horses. He guesses my SPG is making slightly closer to 200 hp. For kicks I turned up the boost to 16 psi and had it tested again. Torque jumped to well over 250 lb ft but horsepower went up by TWO. Reason? The stock injection map in the classic 900 does not provide adequate fuel at high revs, and the engine does not rev high enough to produce massive hp. Turning up the boost will result less in a horsepower gain and more in a torque gain - witness my car's increase from 175hp stock to ~190hp, but my torque increase from 195 lb ft to 230 lb ft. This is normal on turbocharged, low-revving four cylinders. You haven't done anything to increase fuel at the upper end of the rev band (no bigger pump, no bigger injectors, stock ECU) and you aren't running any sort of modified ignition system. Therefore I see no way in which your car is making these kinds of numbers unless the dyno is miscalibrated or overly optimistic. I would have your car dyno'd elsewhere to verify these numbers. If possible, I'd like to look at a scan or fax of your results. I'd be happy to send you mine in exchange. -Justin
