Normal reason for the computer 'not working' is that the display's backlight bulbs have blown - new bulbs is proabably the first stop. The Cruise is likely to be a separate problem - it uses vacuum hose to the pedals to disengage when a pedal is pressed - it's fairly common for these pipes to fail, so not being able to maintain a vacuum, therefore the cruise won't engage. Check out www.townsendimports.com - their tech section includes info on replacing the computer display's bulbs, and diagnosing the cruise IIRC. - Mark.
