I blamed my wife unfairly, for once, for having the marque emblem missing from her '96 SAAB 9000, I was absolutely honest with the dealer at 24k : my wife had found some way to park the car where the darn thing was stolen. No, they told her, they fall off. It is a serious problem and the emblems are under heavy backorder. So I have had to eat crow for the entire weekend. Terefore my question and concern: I guess I have this romantic notion that the emblem is affixed last, carefully buffed by a worker with a clean towel, and as the car is moved off the assembly line for the last time there is a sort of wistfull glance and a dab of moisture on the eyes of the assembly-line workers. THE MARQUE EMBLEM FALLS OFF? THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM? So much for romance and wishfull thinking. Bill Castner
