Many of you have asked me to provide the model number of the McGard lock that fits current model Saabs. McGard probably has an arrangement with Saab to not sell "Saab" locks as I found out when I called them. They do sell lock sizes that "just happen" to fit Saabs, however. In my last posting on this subject, I said that Saab sells wheel locks through their dealerships as a Saab product for about $75 per set. Saab buys the locks from McGard and possibly re-packages them. McGard locks in car part stores usually sell for $10-$35, depending on what type of lock and where you buy them. This is similar to Saab selling Clarion CD-Changers under the Saab name for double or triple the price of what you would pay in a store for the Clarion product. For my 98 900SE, the lock that fit my car was item number is 27179. The size was M12x1.5.
