Debra, Glad to hear you are taking your time and using common sense. Any Saab you buy should pass a pre-buy inspection. If the car doesn't pass, walk away. It is reasonable to expect to have to spend some money on repairs the first year, but you don't want to buy somebodyelse's headache's. When I bought my 87 900S in 1995, I didn't have spend any major money until November of 96. It cost me $635 for the front brakes and rotors at a Midas. The last thing was an exhaust pipe from the catalytic converter to the muffler for $62.50. The 1987 9000S cost me about $1500 in repairs the first year, but now it is a solid car...Good Luck and Good Hunting!!!! Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T
