General Motors currently owns 50% of Saab, and is now eying the purchase of the remainder of it's stock. Saab is a great car, it doesn't need decisions made from the same company that gave us the Chevy Vega and a string of poor quality vehicles in which their market share declined significantly while their cost per unit remained one of the highest in the industry. I would think twice about buying another Saab knowing that GM was at the helm.
