Subject: defroster button and locks

My 1985 900 3-Door (116K) has the following fixes: Need to find the following but don't want to pay for new.. -- Rubber stripping for the windows on the doors, it is on the rearward side.. -- Chrome-like paneling for same area. -- Need a new glove box cover that attaches to the door. -- My rear defrost button will not lock into place. The light in the dash and on the button comes on when depressed, but I cannot tell if it works because I can't hold my finger there that long while motoring. -- According to the manual this car is to have two keys. Right now, one opens the trunk only and the other one opens the driver door only (embarrassing on dates to open the pax from the inside!) and activates the ignition.. The problem is that someone screwed with the locks and the key has been highly modified and is very thin in height and looks like it is going to snapt off any time. Question what can I do? I found a lock cylinder in the map holder on the door but none of the keys turn it. I need to make all the repairs myself because I am po' and am saving up for the manual transmission repair that I know is inevitable. ryan
