Subject: 900 Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement

I recently acquired a 1986 900S with a 5-speed and I have yet to obtain a service manual for it, leaving me to present the question to this newsgroup: The ignition lock cylinder needs to replaced. I have taken apart the console, removed the tamper-proof screws that cover the switch, and have removed the ignition switch. I now need to get the lock cyl. removed. How do I do this? Can I remove the gear on the bottom of the cylinder and remove it, if so, how? Or is it integral part of the housing that it resides in, necessitating the replacement of the entire housing? If I do have to replace the housing, how do I disconnect the shift linkage from it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. ~John Rausch P.S.
