Subject: Tire rotation on Front-Wheel Drive Cars - Question

In the volvo conference a very well repected automobile writer suggests rotation of the tires on any front-wheel drive car every 5-7k. I was under the impression that this was a rather "old-hat" notion, and that opinions were decidely mixed as to whether rotation with modern radial tires was a help or a possible problem. So, the question. For my '96 9000, do I rotate; and if so what should be the rotation sequence or pattern? Thanks, bill
