You may have tweaked it a bit too much. I had an 83 900T I ran stock for over 13 years and 251,000 miles. You may be getting too much boost(Guage in the Red) and this is blowing out your spark. If your gap is too wide, the boost can kill the spark. With that in mind check your wires, dist. cap, rotor and plug gap. For your plug gap try .026 or .660 mm.
