I had the same problem on my 900 1987 model. It is easy to fix. Just remove the interior of the hatch and take a look. There was a little steel link that was hanging down from the lockcylinder. I just connected it to the "lockmecanism" and all worked good. I also put some oil at the mechanism and after that all is well. /B
