Unfortunately, you've fixed about 1/3 of the problem. Here's what you gotta do: 1) Replace the relay. The pins on the relay are coated or plated (with nickel or solder, not sure which), and when you sand them, the coating is removed. This causes the pins to corrode much faster in the future. 2) Also gotta pay attention to the contact in the fusebox that the relay plugs into. Melted plastic where the relay plugs in is a sure sign of trouble. Kinda hard to explain all the details, but you need to get to the backside of the panel, release the affected contacts, and at minimum tighten them up by squeezing with pliers. Better would be to replace the contacts. And, make *sure* you disconnect the battery while doing this! There are lots of things in the fusebox that are live even when the key is off. Good luck!
