Subject: 900T Cruise control turbo cut-off switch

I am currently having a problem with the CC on my 1990 900T (light comes on...nothing else). I have gone through the system, with the exception of the cruise ECU under the dash. I have verified that the turbo cut-off switch with the red cap activates with a vacuum (sucking through a hose attached to it), but it does not hold the vacuum - it leaks off slowly, thus the vacuum needs to be constant in order for the switch to stay engaged. I read (somewhere)that this switch should hold a vacuum in order for the system to work. Can anyone verify that a leak in this switch would cause the CC to stop working at all, given the above description? Any other ideas (with the exception of vacuum leaks and pedal switches - already checked) are appreciated. Tom
