Ernie, Last year I had to replace the A/C Compressor on my 87 9000S. I ordered a rebuilt from Impex Distributors, 1-800-736-3550. They are located here in Maryland, but have warehouses around the U.S., including New Jersey. The rebuilt compressor cost me $310, including the shipping to me and return of my core. My local Saab Indy installed it with a new Rec/Dry and expansion valve for about $360. You should replace those items too. Another place to check is AMC manufacturing.
