(disclaimer: I know very little about cars in general, and am poor :) ) While replacing the starter in my '87 900 (no turbo), I had to remove the throttle switch which sits on the spindle that the accelerator line turns when depressed, in order to get my socket in there. Well, the spindle thing popped out somewhat, and I can't reattach the throttle switch. However, the car runs fine without it, and in my Haynes manual, it makes no mention of this unit outside of the turbo models. Apparently, it's a binary switch that tells if your foot's off the accelerator or not. Do I need to reattach this thing? If so, how??? :) White Flame (aka David Holz) http://fly.to/theflame
