Subject: 900 SE Turbo-whines w/ heat



I have a 1995 900 SE turbo that is having difficulties, I'm hoping someone
has an opinion that may help me solve this.....
This past winter the car has developed a "whining" noise. It also has
problems when the heat is turned on;
the "check engine" light turns on periodically and the idle revs until I
either 1) restart the car or 2) turn off the heat.
I brought the car to Shaws Saab in December (when it was still under
warranty) and I was told the  technician could not duplicate my complaints
and that it must be a "computer hiccup."

Any opinions on what may be causing this?
