Subject: Need help from Saab God

First now that I can do newsgroups I want to say how beautiful I think the old 900's were. Its too bad they don't make them look quite like that. Second, I need some advice from people on a Used Saab. I'm very unfamiliar with the models/model years so please be patient with me. I'm looking for a 900 but I don't know which model DIDN'T have the Turbocharger. I don't want one! Which is another reason I don't think I'll ever get a new Saab because they don't make them with out. Also, I need recommendations on model years. I would like the criteria to be: 1.) Good Model Year / Least Problems 2.) Old 900 Style 3.) NO Turbocharger 4.) Less than $10,000.00 I have a 99 VW Golf Wolfsburg and love it dearly. I will always buy Volkswagens. Though that may change in the future as their is talk about a 1.8T 150HP engine being standard replacing the 2.0L engine. I don't want a turbocharger!! Reason being, I like to drive my cars 200K miles. If I can get to 200K I'm okay. I'm a good owner. I use synthetic oil, change it regularly, and keep my maintenance appointments. Its just Saab seems a bit different to me. First, I don't know how Saab can survive. I'll admit my ignorance in not knowing the figures, but it could be months before I see a Saab on the road. I know they ARE out there because theirs 3 or 4 dealerships here in Illinois where I live. Oh well. Enough rambling! Any advice you can give would be grateful. Thanks nomad
