The problem with the 900 turbos is the PREVIOUS owner. Did they let the car idle for a while before shutting it off? Did they change the oil regularly? If the turbo is well taken care of from day one, it will last for a long, long time. There is only ONE main moving part in a turbo; they prettymuch don't wear out if they are taken care of properly. Are turbo Saabs any less reliable than non-turbos? I don't think so. I've worked on more Saabs than I can count, and I've never seen any more problems with them than normanlly aspirated 900's. (other than an occasional turbo hose popping off) crash70 As far as being more expensive, yeah they might be a little more on parts. I think it's worth it though. nomad wrote in message <7fqr7t$518$1nopsamd.xnet.com>... >That was me. > >I just didn't want it and worry about the costs of replacing the >Turbo.
