While I will be the first to admit that they look *very* similar (the 9000 of course being the best looking IMNSHO), I recall recently (re-)reading a Motor Trend (ugh!) article from 1984 that mentions the Saab 9000 and the Lancia sharing only 18 common parts between the two.
