Subject: Saab 9000 handbrake adjustment

Can anyone help? I have a 1991 Saab 9000 and have a problem adjusting the handbrake. I know that there is the usual adjustment on the lever and on my model of the 9000 there is also an additional adjustment on the rear callipers, in the form of a hexagon screw. The problem is that I can adjust the handbrake so that the free movement is fine, but over a month or two the movement in the handbrake lever becomes excessive to the point where it will not hold any more and I have to adjust it all over again. The problem seems to be that the hexagon screws just slacken off. It is a pain having to take the rear wheels off and go through the same procedure again. Does any one know how to overcome this problem please? Thanks Den
