The OEM Varta battery in my '94 died suddenly for no apparent reason on a Saturday after 4 years of fine service, and I had no choice but to get a DieHard; nothing else compatible available locally before Monday. That will probably last another 4 or 5. So I don't think there's any magic to the Swedish brand.
