Tony, With 194K on it, you could definitely be looking at turbo failure. But another (cheaper!) possibility is a problem in the APC system. In my experience, when those systems get older, they're flakier than a box of oatmeal! One thing to look at is the contacts on the "brain", which is located just behind the left-front turn-signal light. Water works its way into the connector, and the contacts corrode, causing all sorts of intermittent problems. Another possiblilty is the pressure sensor, which lives under the dash on the driver's side. Only problem is they're a little hard to test by any method other than substitution. Good luck!
