Brad, Without knowing how many miles you have on that clutch, it is hard to say if you need a new one. The symptoms you describe sound like the slave or master cylinder. It could also be a leak in the hydraulic line between the master and slave cylinder. A slow leak could cause the symptoms you describe. If the line ruptured, you would have no clutch at all. That happened to me on my 83 900T. If you have to drop your tranny, you might as well put a clutch kit in it, and the hydraulic lines will have to be properly purged or air or your clutch will not work right. As for the electrical problems. A few months ago I replaced the fuel filter on my 87 9000S. I wound up taking the battery out to replace the filter. When I put the battery back in I made sure I cleaned the terminals. I just used vaseline to coat them. It made a big difference in the electrical operation of the car. Most recently, replacing a brake light stopped my pictogram from flashing with the turn signal. Cleaning contacts and making sure you have the right fuses could make a difference.
