Subject: Re: SKWEEEEK! Help with noisy brakes (me too!!)

I drive a 900Turbo 1991 and my garage has replaced the front and rear pads a month ago. The repairman did not tell me that I have to drive and brake softly during the first hundreds of kilometers. Unfortunatly, I drove 1600km in Appalaches mountains the three days after... and now, even a month after my front breaks are noisy when hot, after a long brake leaving the higway for example, and more frequently these days with a temperature higher than +25°C... Did I unrespect the period of soft braking ? Are the pads bad quality ? Some of my friends told me that the noise was because of iron in the pad, is it true ? Are all "pads with iron" singing when braking before every corner at summer !?!... It is not dicrete at all when driving in the city. Could you give me some advices to shup up the pads without replacing them ?
