I just had the same thing happen to my 89 900. Turns out it was the brake switch. Mine finally just stuck in the on position so I had to pull the fuse. I was draining the battery about twice a week even when the lights were off. My mechanic replaced the brake switch and the positve terminal on my battery and I haven had a problem since.
