The story was even more tragic. I took it to the dealership in my town and the story is it needs a new tranny. The car is a 88 900s auto. She has 172k and at this point according to the dealer may not be worth the trouble and money. So for the time being I'm carless. Spending $3000 plus to get it fixed considering it is not worth that for a 11 yr old car is the sad part. I really loved it but it may just be time to say goodbye. I haven't made up my mind just yet or picked it up from the dealer but if anyone is in the market for a car for parts this could be the ticket. Thanks for the reply. dp
