Such as castrol and quaker state? AMSOIL is a synthetic oil which has been on the market for 0ver 25 years now. I've been using (and selling it) for almost 22 years. Started using in a 73 Saab 99. Picked up 3 mpg on the oil, another mpg on the gear lube and decided it worked<g>. It outperforms all other oils--synthetic or non-synthetic. It costs more per quart than most, but less per mile/hour. If I couldn't get AMSOIL, I'd use Mobil 1. Dick in Falls Church, VA
