Subject: AC not always getting cold

Hi, I have a SAAB 9000cs, 92 which sometimes doesn't get as cold as I want to. The control panel for the ACC is exchanged some time ago and the new one does it's job, so that is not the problem. The problem typically occurs when driving very slowly in traffic jam, so I suspect that there's a fan to the AC that doesn't do it's job. Correct? Does such a fan exist and if so where? How can I check that it's working? How much for new one? etc, etc... Note: The cooler system was rebuilt 1995 after a collision with a badger, so I don't have freon in the system but some new fluid. I only get the problems occasionally and then as mention when driving slowly. Sometimes it has helped to shut down the engine and restart it and then after a few seconds the cold air starts coming and the first couple of seconds it is very damp air. Ideas? Andreas
