Subject: Re: Gas and Heat gauge go all the up to the top when I start the car!!

could be two things either the ground to the gauges is bad (or nonexistant) or you need a new sender. my temp gauge started to go bad, and it would rise but never fall. so after one drive it was in the middle of the green. then it would start in the middle of the green the next time and go a little higher, and higher etc. if you have the car running, and you unclip the temp sending unit and touch the wire to a ground, the gauge should go all the way up. thats how you know the gauge is ok but the sender isnt. it wasnt more than $20 for the part. easy to change, or ask your mechanic to do it when you get an oil change. danny Debra Benjamin wrote: > It's an '89 900 Turbo.
