Traction control is nice to have sometimes, > but now it's a pain. I sympathise with your situation, but the reality is that "fly by wire" has many more advantages than "traction control" (which was taken off of the 1995 Aero I thought, at least mine doesn't have one). What it actually allows (through the Trionic management system) is for the system to predict your behaviour, and provide what you want, not necessarily what you would normally get... turbos have lag, it's unavoidable. What SAAB has called the trottle pedal in public is a "torque requestor", andin fact that is probably the most accurate description. Often, the engine is bleeding off excess boost just to make sure the turbo is spun up correctly as often a spossible... this gives you a huge increase in response. BTW, also beware of "bucking" or sudden cut-out... this is a well known problem on the Aero's DI module... I've hadmine replaced once, and I'm starting to see the problem again under full throttle... fortunately the module is only 6 months old, so they get to replace ityet again under warantee :-) Chris -- | Christopher Petrilli ``Television is bubble-gum for | petrillinopsamr.org the mind.''-Frank Lloyd Wright
