To buy the Honda (or Acura) is to buy an appliance. Yes, your dishwasher has more personality than these Japanese boxes. The TL is great on paper but is not available with a 5 speed which any real driver would want. Automatics are for people who drive to get there...not get there to drive. Might as well take the bus. It is suprising that with a technically proficient car like the TL, they left out the styling. Is is a boring ride. Also, for American buyers, the V6 trick has been very successful. V6s appeal to Americans so they can have 'bigger, bigger'! Just will cost you more at tune-up time. Saab turbo 4s have been putting out the hps since before Honda decided to build cars instead of motorcycles. And speaking of bout those valve adjustments on those Hondas!!! That will cost a pretty penny over the life of a 200K car. I know! I spent a fortune on them on my '81 Prelude...never did that on the 9000T.
