Maybe he's a SAAB > disinformation specialist. His latest post; "I don't think the compressor not > starting has anything to do with not having any freon in it" is atypical of his > usless advice. SAAB AC (air conditioning) systems (as well as any other car AC > system) have a low pressure sensing switch that will not allow the compressor > to engage unless there is a minimum amount of freon in the system. People that > post help requests on the newsgroup have legitimate problems and the last thing > they need is someone steering them in the wrong direction. Johan Lauwers, GO > AWAY, until you get a clue about SAABs. > > What you seem to be forgetting is that Johan's advice assumes there is a fault *somewhere*. That means the system is not working in the way it was designed and, in its faulty state bears little or no relation to any circuit or schematic drawings available. Real service engineers understand this and approach fault finding in calm and measured way - Why should the fault not be in the low pressure sensing switch? (or anywhere else for that matter). Anyone who responds to requests for help should be welcomed, those who expect pinpoint diagnosis with zero effort (and expense) should be ignored. Please stay Johan - I'll pass on the request for a Dutch sentence though, Double Dutch; maybe....... Cheers and beers Brian
