Sounds like what just happened to my 93 convertible yesterday. The bolt that connects the main lifting linkage had fallen out. The linkage is located in the area just inside the rear windows under the vinyl covers. It was a special bolt with an eccentric, and nylon bushing attached. The bolt was jammed in the linkage, and the nut was down on the floor. If this is your problem, you can look at the other side to see how it goes together. To replace the bolt, I had to jog the top open a bit. I also put Loc-tite on the threads. Hope this helps. Jim
