Thanks for the hints. Getting a new key from my after market mechanic (Saab Tech) who will provide Saab North America with the last 8 digits of VIN #. Curiously enough when I called an unamed suburban Chicago Saab dealer , they told me I was SOL and a key could not be made without a spare to copy from. As ar as hot wiring, I was told easy to do.
