Alright, perhaps not the most financially brilliant transaction in history. I bought one of the very first Saab 9-5s in U.S. captivity (a year ago last April). Loved it. LOVED it. But, back then, they weren't offering the V-6 engine. Or the ventilated seats. And I planned to put in an aftermarket stereo booster, but no such luck... no one in town would touch it. So, this afternoon, I swapped a year-old 9-5 with 15,000 miles on the clock for a brand-new model with all the SE trimmings. Same color, even... I don't expect anyone to realize I'm driving a new car. It cost me more money than I like to admit to get out of a year-old lease and move into the new vehicle. But I don't begrudge a dime of it. (Now, once the V-6 gets me my first speeding ticket, I might think differently! Or if I start to bleed from the eardrums from the Harman-Kardon stereo! :-) The only car even in the running as competition was the 9-5 wagon. Nifty design, but I decided to stick with my sedan. I love this car... -- Stephen Fleming / srfnopsampam.atv.com Remove 'no.spam' to reply.
