Dear Alan, If you are sure your turbo seals are worn out - sounds like it from the symptoms - then you will have to get an exchange unit or have it repaired. The cheapest option is to have a "core" repair. This involves you removing the unit from the car and then removing the exhaust impeler housing and the compressor housing. Thus only having to have the seals and bearings replaced by a recon firm. I had this done a couple of years ago and it cost under £150. There is no way you can do this yourself as the unit has to be balanced on a special machine.If you are unlucky the shaft may be worn and then its a recon unit at £250 onwards. Good luck John
