Subject: Help Please Shifter coupling

Today I repaired a broke shifter coupling....However it is very hard to shift gears....requires alot of get to first i have to slam it in second them really hard and fast to first....on down shifts with high RPM's and sometimes low, the gears grind bad and will not go in really sucks...did i put the 10mm nuts on too is semitrical so i dont think i put in upside down or anything....what could be the i need to lube it up...when i hold in the clutch and start shifting fast into all the gears hard it seems to become a little looser...any suggestions...Please help!!!
