This procedure is supposed to be done at no cost to the owner. I am a US owner of a '92 9000T, which falls under the recall. The letter I received indicated that the car should be brought into a service department for diagnosis and possible repair. Make noise if they attempt to charge you for this procedure, preferably to either the Saab factory representative for your country (if other than Sweden) or to the manufacturer directly.
