Not quite... The V6 has good torque at low RPM, and will probably beat a turbo in a "stoplight derby." It also is VERY strong at and above redline (I hit the rev limiter a few times on my '94 V6). At cruise, though, it does not have the passing strength of the turbo, especially without downshifting. Too bad it has that timing belt... -- John R.
