Subject: Clutch pedal play

For as long as I've had my 94 900S V6 (yeah yeah - I've heard it all before...) the clutch pedal has had excessive free travel and engages very low (i.e. close to the floor). Recently, it seems to be just a bit worse (more likely I notice it more because I split driving time between mine and our newly acquired low mileage 1996 900), and I'm wondering what I can do about it. There was a TSB on the subject and it identified two cures. One, (gently) pull on the clutch cable so that it reindexes itself - this works for all of two minutes. Second, reinstall the clutch cable with a washer. My question is, what's involved in removing and reinstalling the clutch cable (after I get the fusebox out - no biggie there)? Is it complicated? It doesn't look that bad, I just want to get whatever tips from experience you all might have before I go in. Cheers! Scott FitzGerald Scott.FitzGeraldnopsamc.ca
