Thanks to all who responded. I bought the car, it seems relatively free of the problems noted. The fuel pump does make a constant humming noise, but in the manual I have looked at it says this is normal until it turns into a buzz. A fine line I'll bet but I'm happy to go with that. As for power, well, she flies! Puts a big smile on my face knowing I have all that at my disposal, but can choose to drive economically (?) if I want to. How economically remains to be seen. The gear change doesn't seem too bad compared to other cars with one notable exception. It's a bitch to get into fifth because the 'slot' is not all the way across to the right so I keep having to stir around to find it. That's a disappointment. Otherwise I'm just the proudest driver at the moment. Would recommend this car to anyone. A beautiful mixture of power and prestige. Simon
